Our Projects

Demolition, earthwork, drainage, and underground utilities.

Below are a few of our current and completed projects that highlight our expertise in managing both small and large-scale projects, both residential and commercial.

Sarasota National Cemetery - Sarasota, FL

JBI Contractors played a crucial role in the expansion of the Sarasota National Cemetery while working under C&C Contractors. JBI’s primary responsibility was excavating large ponds on site to generate the fill dirt necessary to bring the existing site to grade. By utilizing large excavators and off-road dump trucks, JBI was able to move thousands of cubic yards of dirt daily, ensuring the project remained on schedule.

In addition to bulk earthmoving, the project required the installation of over a thousand feet of reinforced concrete pipe, as well as multiple precast inlets and mitered end sections for the onsite storm drainage system. Once the storm drainage and bulk earthmoving were completed, JBI carried out remaining finish grade and road work needed to complete the site.

City of New Smyrna Parking - New Smyrna, FL

The City of New Smyrna Beach needed additional parking spaces for its employees. To address this need, JBI Contractors, working on behalf of the City, constructed a stabilized shell parking lot adjacent to their building. Shell parking lots are a cost-effective solution, providing a durable and stabilized surface for accommodating additional vehicles or offering access to specific locations. The project also consisted of storm drainage, landscaping and irrigation, handicap parking stalls, and concrete wheel stops and signage.

City of Deland Fire Station - Deland, FL

Partnering with the City of Deland, JBI Contractors successfully completed multiple scopes of work. The project began with the demolition of existing structures to make way for the new facility. JBI Contractors then undertook a variety of critical improvements, including utility upgrades, storm drainage enhancements, and the expansion and restoration of the parking lot. This work included the installation of concrete sidewalks, curbing, asphalt pavement, as well as striping and signage. To complete the project, landscaping and irrigation systems were added, ensuring a beautiful and functional new fire parking lot for the City of Deland.

Fort Wall Restoration - New Smyrna, FL

New Smyrna Beach's Old Fort Park required restoration to preserve this historical site and protect it from further settling/damage. JBI Contractors worked alongside MGN Contracting LLC on this project to help ensure the Fort remains intact for many years to come. JBI carefully excavated the existing Fort walls to provide necessary reinforcement, preventing further deterioration of the ruins within the Fort. We also installed an extensive under-drain system to ensure that the water behind the wall would no longer create pressure against it.

This project highlights JBI’s ability to work around delicate, fragile conditions, requiring highly skilled operators to ensure no additional damage was done to the site during the restoration process.

Boggs Ford Road - Port Orange, FL

JBI Contractors successfully completed drainage improvements on Boggs Ford Road for the City of Port Orange. Throughout the project, JBI maintained a safe and efficient Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and vehicles traveling through the work area. The project addressed deficiencies in the existing storm drainage system, which had been unable to handle sufficient water volume, resulting in flooding that affected both the roadways and nearby residential areas. To resolve this, JBI  relocated existing 8” water main supplying the entire neighborhood and installed storm pipe and precast structures, significantly enhancing the storm drainage capacity and helping to preserve the integrity of the city’s infrastructure.
